Aurora

Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger Norway. Professionally known as Aurora and sometimes stylized with the letters in uppercase as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th, 2015 it received a raving review from both music bloggers as well as from the media. She has previously recorded two highly-profile cover songs Half the World Away by the group Oasis to promote a Christmas ad from John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry, who endorsed the song Runaway by her, has given her the track a little more attention. Make it a special day for her. Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music is when she discovered a grand piano in the attic. She was fascinated by its capabilities. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. He urged her not to play music only to have fun or for the sake of growing, but that she must explore it. This led to her started writing songs of her own. She is credited with Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen as well as Bjork for being among her inspirations. Her mother had told her the songs she wrote could be used to not make her famous however, but to encourage people to realize the importance of their work and influence to this world, she started singing them in public. Her mother suggested that she sing her songs in public to help people realize their own importance and how they impact the world. Her family didn't be aware until fourteen. Aurora had no idea of being famous. She claims that she just enjoys writing songs. She says that music is her most preferred way of feeling anything.
